Zaonte' L. ("Za") Davis

Zaonte' L. Davis, 24, of Clairton, was born February 4, 1998, in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the beloved son to the late Mack Hoots Jr. and Geri (Davis) Marshall.

Zaonte’ affectionately called Za, attended school in the McKeesport Area School District. Za graduated in 2016 from McKeesport High School.

Zaonte’ worked various jobs, he loved that casino, lol. He had the biggest heart, he loved everyone, and he was everybody's "Big Bro." He made sure he checked on his friends and family on a regular. The love he had for his daughter Ava, his "Lil scrappy" is unmatched, he went to sleep and woke up with his baby every single day. Za was the family protector he made sure his mom smiled. Za will truly be missed. Rest with the Kings Zaonte!

Zaonte' departed this life on June 5, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father Mack Hoots Jr., grandmother Ava Drumgoole, cousin Anthony Hoots Jr. and Leroy "Punnie" Hughes, and Aunt, Tawonna Harris Thomas.

Zaonte' is survived by his loving mother, Geri (Andre) Marshall; beloved daughter, Ava Davis; two brothers, Taonze Davis, and Mack Hoots, III; seven sisters, Dariun Davis,  Destiny Swindle, Jahliyah Davis, Makai Davis, Jaquasia Johnson, Malayiay Jackson, Akira Hoots, Mactaysia Hoots; grandmother, Yvonne Johnson; two grandfathers, Jerry Simmons, Mack (Renee) Hoots, Sr.; girlfriend, Dakota Williams; special aunt, Erica Davis, aunt, Teisha White; uncles, Fred Davis, Anthony Hoots, Frank Harris, Jeravon Simmons; cousin/brother, Orlando Grandison; cousin/sister, Erica Howell; best friends, Kasante Sayles, Jamaal Abdul Rabb, Kyreek Sayles; Troy Brown, Lee Scott, Jaymeer Swindle, Teisha White, godmother Callie Coleman Jackson; two bonus sisters, Tomorrow Armstrong and Anasia Carter; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
