Willie Lou Lewis Obituary

Willie Lou Lewis, daughter of Ella Smith and the late Willie Smith, was born May 16, 1942,  in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Affectionately known as Lou Lou, was a caring and loving person. She loved to cook and one of her favorite pastimes was playing bingo.

A woman of faith, Willie Lou was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church for many years. She sang on the choir and was an usher, the gatekeeper for the house of the Lord.  On May 28, 2020, Willie Lou passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was also preceded in death by her late husband Edward J. Lewis and brother Johnnie Smith.

Life will never be the same, and Willie Lou’s memories will live on through her mother, Ella Smith; son, Larry  Smith of McKeesport, PA; Tamiko  Francis, whom she raised like her own daughter; grandchildren, James Scarbrough, Tamiko Davis, Roderick Gregory, Dawntel Victor; siblings,  Caroline Spears, Linda Blake, Al Smith, all of McKeesport, PA; nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
