William Andre Gallaway, was affectionately known as “Bill Wood” 59, was born December 22, 1962, in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the beloved son to the late William Keen and Geraldine (McCray) Gallaway.
William was a “1983” graduate of Clairton High School. He furthered his education at CCAC for Architect. He worked at Ponderosa Steakhouse, Kaufmanns Department store and Giant Eagle. Before he enlisted into the United States Army.
He loved reading the Bible and teaching. Growing up he played basketball, shooting pool, He loved spending time with family and friends. William went to Morning Star Baptist Church until he moved to Pittsburgh, PA. William departed this life on December 12, 2022, at Pittsburgh, PA.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Keen, mother, Geraldine (McCray) Gallaway, and grandson, Isaiah Hall.
William is survived by his spouse, Tracy; four daughters, Michon Gallaway, Tina Johnson, Clarissa Gallaway, Channon Chatman; son, William A. Gallaway, Jr.; three stepdaughters, Renee Henderson, Desa Henderson, Tanee Henderson; stepson, Trye Henderson; fourteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild; three sisters, Danetta (Leo) Gallaway-Halcomb, Danett Gallaway, Bobby Berry; brother, James Gallaway; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
