Walter Lee Hall Jr. Obituary

Walter Lee Hall Jr., 59, of Clairton Pennsylvania was born on September 16, 1963, in Clairton, PA. He was the beloved son of Walter and Mary Hall. Walter is affectionately known as my papi, pops, uncle Wallee and Walt. He attended school at Clairton High. Upon his graduation, he spent 8 years serving in the US Army in Tacoma Washington where he met his wife Felicia Hall, whom he married in 1986 in Portland Oregon. The following year, the light of his life and only child Janvier was born.

During his residency in Portland Oregon, Walter received his Associate's Degree from Portland Community College and worked at Elf Atochem as a Senior Chemical Operator. During his dwelling in Clairton, he worked in accounting at PNC Bank and forged several friendships.

Many described Walter as the light of the room, always capable to cheer you up and put a smile on your face, caring, selfless, and willing to give you the shirt off his back. Anyone who had the privileged opportunity to encounter Walter knew he was an avid sports fan (he was a loyal Clairton Bears, Los Angeles Lakers, and Steelers fan).

He was a servant of Jehovah God and identified as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, his beliefs, firm conviction, and wishes carried him through life and he stayed faithful to the end.

Walter was passionate about music, many weekends he could be found in his mancave DJ’ing or on the turning tables for friends' and family’s private events. Walter departed on February 2, 2023, at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, PA. He spent his last moments with his daughter holding her hand and listening to his favorite song Flashlight by Parliament. Although that was his final stoplight at this time, he has hope for the resurrection and promises at Hosea 13:4 From the power of the Grave* I will redeem them; - and Job 14:14,15-If a man dies, can he live again? I will wait for all the days of my compulsory service. Until my relief comes. You will call, and I will answer you.

During this time, his family finds comfort in the words found in Revelation 21:4 - And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

He was preceded in death by His mother, Mary Elaine Hall, father, Walter L. Hall, Sr., nephew Jontee’ Hall, and Sister-in-law Sherri Smith-Hall. Walter is survived by his spouse of 36 years Felicia Hall; daughter, Janvier Hall; two sisters, Vanessa Hall, and Penelope Hall; one brother Thomas Hall; 1 niece Pennye Hall, 3 nephews Dimietre Arrington, and wife Jasmine Arrington, and Dallas Hall, and Charles Harris, several great nieces, great nephews, spiritual brothers and sisters, extended family and friends.
