She was a loving and proud doting mother, grandmother, and surrogate mom to many. Leona, an avid spectator sports enthusiast could be found watching games every week. Her favorite team of course was the Clairton Bears. She was a member of the Clairton Bear Boosters and when she could attend, traveled to many of their games. Leona was involved in many community ‘get out to vote’ efforts. She enjoyed cooking, going to plays, and telling stories with a great sense of humor and quick wit.
As a faithful member and supporter of Morning Star Baptist Church, Leona could be found worshipping and praising her Savior until her health would not permit her to attend. Her final words as she left this earth was Jesus, Jesus, Jesus!
