Vernia Marie Gilmore, 61, of McKeesport, was born December 26, 1961, in McKeesport, PA. She was the beloved daughter of the late Emanuel and Virginia Brunson Gilmore.

Vernia loved and enjoyed her family and friends. And had a love for cats. Would help the homeless or anyone who needed her help.

Vernia departed this life on December 10, 2023, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Walker, father, Emanuel Gilmore, and mother, Virginia Brunson Gilmore.  

Vernia is survived by her beloved son; Mark Gilmore; four grandchildren, sister, Helen Johnson; two brothers, David Walker, and Thomas Walker; and sister-in-law, Nancy Cox, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
