It is with broken hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Tywone Montel McClain, Jr., age 26, of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, who tragically left this earth on June 14, 2025. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, Tywone's absence leaves a space no words could ever truly fill.
Tywone was a bright light in this world, a devoted father of three, a hard worker, a creative soul, and someone who had the rare ability to make your heart smile just by being in the room. He was a valued partner at McClain's Catering, a construction worker, and a man who believed in building—both literally and figuratively—a better life for himself and those he loved.
He graduated in 2017 from Adelphoi in New Kensington, PA, a milestone that marked his resilience and determination. A man of faith, Tywone was a proud member of One Church NC, under the leadership of Bishop Christopher Paul, where he deepened his spiritual walk and found a supportive church family.
Tywone’s life revolved around family, love, and growth. He was most at peace surrounded by loved ones, engaging in meaningful conversations, writing, song-making, and reading—expressions of his thoughtful and creative spirit. He had a heart that was generous, loving, considerate, and full of empathy, always showing up for others without hesitation.
He leaves behind his loving mother, LaKisha Renee Washington, and his father, Tywone Montel McClain, Sr. his grandmothers, Patrica McClain, Valerie Washington, and his great auntie Marilyn McClain, and a host of other aunts and uncles, and the love of his life, Shaudae Meshelle Nored. Tywone’s legacy continues through his beloved children: Tywone Montel McClain III, Tayden Mareece McClain, and Tahlia Singhose, who were his pride and greatest purpose.
He is also survived by his siblings: Jasmine Moore, Ceneada Sloan, Carlos Sloan, Jacquela Gaynor, Tyaire Smith McClain, Tyion Simmons McClain, Carleigh, Carsyn, and Connor Magwood McClain, Shy-Quay Henley, Quayla Washington, J'Lamar Washington, Tenee Cobbs Washington, Tanyae Cobbs Jr., Terrelle Washington, and Teleek Cobbs. A host of nieces and nephews. His cousin Nikki (Mommie), Aaron, Zion, Bailey, and Brianna McClain and a host of other cousins and loving family Tywone’s presence will be missed every single day, but his spirit—kind, strong, and joyful—will live on in all of us who were blessed to love him
