Thomas Earl Long, 37, of Pittsburgh, was born on February 20, 1986, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was the beloved son of Thomas Earl Long Sr. and Catherine Spence Wells.
Thomas was affectionately known as TJ. He graduated from North Side High School in Warner Robins, Georgia. He was a member of the National Honor Society and voted most likely to be on TV. TJ studied Business at Albany State University. He joined the United States Army and served in Iraq, where he received a medal for Global War on Terrorism.
First and foremost, TJ loved his family. He was a caring person with a positive spirit. TJ was the life of the party. Everyone knew him for his infectious smile that lit up the room. He loved music, writing music, and would DJ in his spare time.
TJ departed this life on June 29, 2023. He was joined in paradise by his paternal grandfather Arthur C. Long Sr. on July 1, 2023. TJ was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John C. Graves, and uncles Craig Graves, Shewn Richardson, and Arthur Long Jr.
Thomas leaves to cherish his memories and mourn his loss are his parents Thomas (Nicole) Long Sr. and Catherine (Kevin B.) Wells. He is survived by his wife Yoen; sons, Isaiah Long, Liam C. Brooks; daughters, Grace, Saray, and Zerah R. Long; grandmothers, Dr. Lenora Graves and Willa Mae Long; sisters, Ashley Long of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and India Phenizee of Pennsylvania; brother, Leighton Long of Lowell, Arkansas, Jordan Cherry of McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
