Thomas Leyland Cottingham, 39, of Clairton, PA., was born on April 2, 1986, in Clairton, PA., to Clyde Leyland Banks, Jr., and the late Gayle Cottingham.

Thomas graduated from Clairton High School. Despite his disabilities, Thomas would help anyone who needed help in the community. He enjoyed cooking, he loved cars, and watching movies. He looked forward to attending Clairton Football games. He loved spending time with his family.

Thomas departed this life on November 14, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

Thomas was preceded in death by his mother, Gayle Cottingham, and grandmother, Cecil Cottingham.

Thomas is survived by his father, Clyde L. Banks, Jr.; siblings, Lakeisha Banks, Kenneth Cottingham, Dayna Cottingham, and Shannon Meade; aunts, uncles; nieces, nephews; cousins; extended family; and friends.
