Tempest LaVerne Hollis-Tobe, 30, of Clairton, was born April 23, 1994, in McKeesport, PA. She was the beloved daughter of Weyman J. Tobe, Sr. and the late Debra J. Hollis-Tobe.

Tempest was a 2012 graduate of Clairton High School. She attended CCAC, receiving a certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant, following in her mother’s footsteps. She was employed as a Direct Support Professional with Community Options.

Tempest departed this life on April 2, 2025, at AHN Jefferson Hospital in Jefferson Hills, PA. She was preceded in death by her mother, Debra J. Hollis-Tobe and uncles, Harlan Tobe, Sr., Charles and F. Darryl Hollis. 

Surviving are her father, Weyman J. Tobe, Sr.; brother, Weyman J. Tobe, Jr., both of Clairton, PA; sister, Darius Lomax of Stonecrest, GA; aunts, Anita L. Tobe of West Mifflin, Annette Halcomb, Brenda and Holly Hollis, all of Clairton, Kim Hollis of Monessen; uncles, Leo Halcomb of Clairton, Lance Hollis of Atlanta, GA, Jesse Hollis of Cheltenham, MD, Jason Hollis of Verona, PA; sisters in love, Joce’len Parrott and Natasha Gallaway; devoted friend, Allen Newby of Clairton; extended family and friends.

Tempest loved life and lived life on her terms. She was a loving, compassionate, and fun person to be around. She assisted in helping wherever she could or saw a need. Her position as a direct support professional expressed the type of person she was and the kind of heart she had. Though her life here on earth ended sooner than expected, cherish the memories of the relationship you shared with her. She lived, she laughed and she loved.
