Stoney Mae Davenport Williams, 70, was born December 11, 1951, in McKeesport, PA to the late Junius and Edna Patterson Davenport. She departed this life peacefully on July 12, 2021, at Southwestern Health Center. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Sylvester Williams, son, Terry Pickett, brothers, James (Happy) Davenport, Joe Pickett, Junior Lee Davenport, and sister Betty Pickett.
Stoney was born and raised in Clairton, PA. She worked as a C.N.A. at St. Francis Hospital for many years. Stoney’s favorite pastime was cooking and traveling. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Mt. Olive First Baptist Church for 60 plus years. She sang on the Senior Choir, attended and taught Sunday School. Stoney loved the Lord and was passionate and devoted to hearing and learning as much as she could. She was always in attendance at the weekly Bible/Prayer studies and Missionary Meetings.
She also diligently served as a member of the Deaconess Ministry for 29 years.
Stoney leaves to cherish in her loving memory, a sister Carolyn Davenport, cousins, Mary Jane (Ted) Kirby, Mary Stone, Viola Riveria, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Stoney loved the Lord with all her heart and soul and would like us to remember this:
The death of people whom we love
Brings sorrow and deep pain;
But if our loved ones know the Lord
Our loss becomes their gain.
Love,
Stoney
