Stephen Murray Obituary

Stephen Gary Murray, 66, beloved son of Dolly Rollfeller was born June 30, 1954, in McKeesport, PA.  Stephen departed this life September 8, 2020, at St. Margaret’s Hospital. He was preceded in death by his adopted parents Stephen and Violet Dorsey.

Stephen grew up in McKeesport, PA that was a tight-knit community where he was able to enjoy his community, family, and friends. He later moved to Wilkinsburg, PA  where he made his home. Stephen was the Owner-Operator of Imperial Coach Limousine Company. He was a proud entrepreneur and was dedicated to each of his businesses.  He enjoyed his Restaurant & Catering business and the constant smiles that lit up each clients face. He took pride in knowing that he had deliciously satisfied, each client "palate", yet nothing could ever compare to the smile and delight, that he loved to see crossing; daughter Stephanie's face immediately after preparing her favorite dishes.

Stephen believed that:  "The ears hearing something is not as good as the eyes seeing it; The eye's seeing it is not as good as the foot's treading upon it; the foot's treading upon it, is not as good as the hands differentiating it" (Shuoy Yuan).  He felt taking someone by the hand and teaching them step by step, would prepare them to soar an entire lifetime. He became a member of the "Big Whip Riders Club"  he was able to enjoy his love for travel, trucks, and cars. Although he appreciated and liked them all, his favorite remained: "antique cars".

He also enjoyed his photography skills, capturing precious family moments,  and helping at local community events, to provide other families' memorable moments as well. Stephen also enjoyed doing puzzles and playing cards with families and friends, due to his competitive spirit you could anticipate hours or laughter and competitive talk until he was the "winner".

He enjoyed spending time with his nephew Aaron Jackson, who kept him on his toes, and also enjoyed the time that he spent with his grandchildren, attending graduations, birthdays, and other events.  Grandpa Stephen loved to see the expression on his grand childrens' Faces as he spoiled them with the "best quality" of gifts.

Stephen is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Murray of McKeesport; two sons he reared, Robert Meador, Edward Meador, 9 grandchildren; Matthew, Kayla, Steffany, Josiah, Johnathan, My'Neisha, Za'Lamir, Chelsea, Icesis, Life Companion Jasper Lockner, Cousins, and Friends.
