Stella Marie Bell

Stella Marie Bell, 66 of Clairton, PA was born March 17, 1956, in Clarksdale, Mississippi. She departed this life on January 14, 2023. Stella was the beloved youngest daughter of the late Lewis P. Bell Sr and the late Mattie Bell (Davis). 

Stella accepted the Lord at a young age at Silent Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksdale, Mississippi.  It was there that she embraced the assurance of the Lord knowing that she can do all things through Christ Jesus from which her strength flows. She was a devoted Christian, and at the time of her death a faithful member of A Safe Place Ministry Apostolic Center. She was an evangelist and always used humor in spreading God's word to everyone she met.   

Stella graduated from Cahoma Agricultural High School in 1973. She attended Cahoma Junior College before joining the military and serving in the Army in Germany from 1975-1977. She left the service to give birth to her first child, a son Shun Lakee Bell. She would later have two daughters Shannis Bell and Shurpri (William) Davis. 

Stella lived a full life surrounded by her three children and 10 grandchildren Shaun Bell, Shaimeik Bell, Shamon Bell, Aniya Bell, Lemuel Davis, Aliyah Bell, William Davis Jr, Shanai Bell, Shane Bell, and Liberty Davis. She was deeply loved by all of her extended family.

Stella was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Johnson, sisters Christine (William) Gaynor and Priscilla Bell, all of Richmond, Virginia. 

Stella leaves to mourn her passing her Aunt Gertrude Davis of Clarksdale, Mississippi. Her sister Apostle Rev. Dr. Mary (Larry dec.) Lovett of Pittsburgh, PA, Lewis (Joyce) Bell of Gainesville, Georgia, Henry (Sylvia) Bell of Queens, NY, Dewilla Cooper of Dekalb, Illinois and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Stella departed this life surrounded by the love of her family. We will cherish the many laughs and memories with our mother, sister, TT, and friend. She will also be missed by her beloved dog, Bella.
