Sherry E. Robinson Epps, 75, of Clairton was born April 4, 1947, in McKeesport, PA. She was the beloved daughter of the late James and Mary Hazel (Ramseur) Robinson.
Sherry graduated from Clairton High School and later furthered her education by studying Phlebotomy at CCAC. Sherry was the first black female security officer at USS Duquesne Steel Mill. Sherry loved and cherished her family. She loved to cook; sharing food brought her joy! She enjoyed sharing her delicacies with family and friends. She loved hosting celebrations and holidays at her home. Sherry had a marvelous sense of humor. She was a member of Kingdom Come Ministries; after a lengthy illness, she was unable to attend services.
Sherry departed this life on December 20, 2022, from Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was preceded in death by her son, Terrance Leroy Hamlin, brother, James Robinson, Jr., brother, Johnny Graves, and sister, Norma Jean Robinson.
Sherry is survived by her beloved children, Lisa Garrett of Jeannette, PA, Vada Epps of McKeesport, PA, Tyla Paige Epps of Monroeville, PA; grandchildren, Charles Batch, Jada Epps, Jordan Payne, Jalays Lynn Papson-Epps, Dequay Canton, Antonio Epps, Bryce Epps, Cameron Epps, Reese Epps; great-grandchildren, Destiny Batch, Kingston Batch, Emery Raine; one great-great-granddaughter; Harmony Batch; siblings, Stephanie Lee, Darnell Robinson, Gwendolyn Jones; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
