Shawn Lee Thompson affectionately known as “Shawn” was born December 20, 1957, in McKeesport Hospital, to Paul H. Thompson and Regina H. Thompson.

Shawn was raised in Clairton “Home of the Clairton Bears” and the City of Prayer!! It was a prosperous time in America and Shawn shared in this country’s success.

Shawn was also introduced to God at this time attending “Morning Star Baptist Church”. He graduated from Clairton School District and Mon Valley Vocational Tech in 1975 receiving training as an autobody mechanic.

His first job was as an aide for Allegheny County which provided services to seniors (snow removal, grass cutting, painting, and home fix-up). He also worked at the “Blue Bird Restaurant” for many years. He also worked at “Shop & Save” supermarket, and “Waters Funeral Home.”

Shawn had a twenty-year love affair with Karen Rush, his significant other. He is survived by his mother, Regina; four brothers, Arthur, William, Paul, and Maurice, and one sister, Keely, as well as nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
