Sharon Ann Murphy, 66, was born July 30, 1954, in North Hampton County, Virginia. On January 11, 2021, Sharon departed this life in her home. She was preceded in death by her mother Edith Turner, father Clarence Bell, brother Eugene (Poppa) Gantt, and sister Beverly Yvonne Gantt.
Sharon’s nickname was “Tomato.” She moved to Pennsylvania at the age of three. She’s been a lifelong resident of the City of Duquesne and was raised in a large extended family. She attended Duquesne High School, and Median School of Allied Health careers where she obtained her Associate's degree as a Dental Technician. She enjoyed being a homemaker, sowing, and drawing. Most of all, she loved being a mother and wife. When she wasn't being a homemaker, she was employed by General Motors, Mellon Bank, and the City of Duquesne School District prior to retirement.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 47 years, Craig Murphy; two sons, Shaudi Murphy, Craig Murphy; daughter, Fiesta Murphy; 5 grandchildren, Sade Robinson Murphy, Garrett Toomey, Lay Laysa Alexander, Jordan Murphy, Cye’ Murphy; three brothers, Randy Turner, Christopher Gantt, Carl Gantt; sister-in-law, Diane Murphy; brother-in-law, Larry Hassan Murphy; nieces, Kiki Butler, Monica Wallace, Janita Neal Robinson; nephews, Tyrone Neal, Carlos Edmonds, Rudy Marcus Gantt, Carl Demery, CJ; extended family, and friends.
