Sara Lee Lane, 82, of White Oak, was born November 7, 1940, in Charleston, SC. She was the beloved daughter of the late Oliver and Queen Rivers Francis.
Sara attended McKeesport High School and graduated June of 1960. She was employed with Equibank for 37 years and spent her last season of employment as an Administrator for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Public Schools.
A member of Saint Paul A.M.E. Church Stewardess Board, Missionary Society, served as a Church Clerk, Secretary, on the Finance Committee and sang with the Ben Harris Singers.
Sara departed this life on November 4, 2023, at McKeesport, PA. She was preceded in death by her brothers, James L. Francis, Oliver Lee Francis, Jr., Alphonso A. Francis, William R. Francis, Jonathan Francis, sister, Gwendolyn Francis, parents, father, Oliver and mother, Queen Francis.
Sara is survived by her loving family, daughter, Stephanie (Lynwood) Brown of Kennesaw, GA; granddaughter, Amber Lee Victoria Brown; three brothers, Frank D. Francis, Marvin C. Francis, Warren A. Francis; sister, Elenora A. Francis of McKeesport, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
