Samuel Nathan Harris Jr.

Samuel Nathan Harris Jr, 79, of McKeesport, was born October 3, 1942 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the beloved son to Samuel Nathan Harris Sr. and Roberta (Thompson) Harris. He attended Bentleyville high school where he graduated and shortly after, went into the Army and served from 1963 to 1968. Samuel worked at Wemco in Homestead doing security, He drove trucks for many years and worked at the Steel Mill in Homestead.

Samuel married Sharon Tomcheck on Oct 26, 1979. They were married 34 years before the lord called Sharon home. To this union they had two daughters Shanice Nicole Harris and Tiffany Michelle Sharp-McDonald and one son, Kenneth Sharp. Samuel and Sharon lived in Natrona Heights, until the Lord called them both home.

Sam (dad) is what we called him, he loved hunting, fishing, and was an avid Steelers fan. He loved singing and spending time with his family. He loved to joke and laugh, he liked watching his cowboy movies on tv. In his spare time, Sam was in the National Honor Guard, he was brother of the Booker T. Washington Elks Lodge 218 in McKeesport. He was also a member of the American Legion post 527.

Samuel departed this life on December 22, 2021 at Natrona Heights. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Ann Harris; sons, Ronald Brown, Kenneth Sharp; daughter, Susan Brown; brothers, Paul Lesley, Henry Lee Johnson, Elis Charles Johnson, James Harris; sisters, Marie Johnson, Alberta Drake, Rosella Wingo, Blanche Harris-Arnold.

Samuel is survived by his loving daughters, Shanice Nicole Harris of Natrona Heights, Tiffany Michelle McDonald (Isaac) of Woodbury, NJ, Crystal Coulter of New Kensington,  Roberta Shavers of Pittsburgh, Tredesa Brenner-Martin of New Kensington, Lydia Brown of Pittsburgh, Chanel Scott of Pittsburgh, Christine Brown of Pittsburgh; Sons, Scott Mattew Gray of New Kensington, Patrick Gray (Shaniqua) of New Kensington, William Gray (Liza) of New Kensington, Samuel Brown of Pittsburgh, Marcel Brown of Pittsburgh; grandsons, Sy’Jaun Harris, Zeya Dixon, Saquan Harris, Scottie Harris, Daeshor Harris, Dy’Shae Harris, Jonathan Gray, William Gray, Kenneth Sharp-Haymon, Kasauntae Moore, Parrish Jamison, Mykail Wilson, Hakeem James, Javon Harris, Stephon Wilson, Stephen Wilson, Jaron Crew, Jarell Smith, Jawan Smith, James Scott Jerome Marsh, Samuel Nathan Harris III, James Clark, Anthony Brown, Ronnie Brown, Jackie Brown: Granddaughters: Gloria Lee, Tanja Lee, Anya Sharp, Ganay Marsh, Shyleea Hayden, Ashanti Harris, Isis Gray, Alayzia Sharp, Mohannahas Fitch-Pennybaker, Destiny Cullen, Tianna Harris, Shaquala Upshur, Stephanie Wilson, Lanita Wilson, Shamera Wilson, J’Niya Smith, J’Nisha Smith, Shanequaw Scott, Shaneka Clark, Janay Brown, Ashley Brown: host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
