Sadie Ruth (Clark) Donelson

Sadie Ruth Donelson was born on February 2, 1928, in Farmville, North Carolina. She was born to the late Thaddeus and Geneva Hines Clark. She came from a family of ten children. All of her siblings, mother, and father had preceded her death. God allowed her reign on this earth for a grand total of ninety-one years.

She married the late John Donelson, and to this union was added seven children (Carolyn, Johnny, Gregory, Barbara, Saundra, Brenda and Stephanie). She was a homemaker who managed her home with excellence. She truly believed in the sanctity of family.

She joined Trinity Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Bishop James M. Foster. She served on the Usher Board and Mother's Board. Her favorite gospel songs were "We Come This Far by Faith" and "Give Me You".

She was known to all as "Mom”, and could cook second to none. Through difficult times she always had a warm smile and taught many lessons with her warrior eyes.

She leaves to cherish the memories of her life four children: Johnny Donelson of Temple Hills, Maryland, Barbara Love (James) of Covington, Georgia, Saundra Donelson and Brenda Donelson of McKeesport, Pennsylvania; four granddaughters: Nicole Shree Donelson of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Marissa Nicole Donelson of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, Felicia and LaShawn Donelson and Tikki Liverpool of Washington DC; four grandsons: Blake DaVaugh Donelson of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, Raffana Donelson (Dan Puchalla) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Darius Maurice Donelson of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Nathan Donelson of McKeesport, Pennsylvania; two great-granddaughters: Aaliyah Marie Donelson of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Brooklyn Donelson of McKeesport, Pennsylvania; two great grandsons: JaCorey Perry Nichols of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, Darius Donelson Jr. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; special nieces: Simone Clark and Deborah Dennis of Buffalo, New York, Sharon Clark and Claudinia Williams of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and special friends: Robin Dawson of Douglasville, Georgia, Dianne Rhodes (CR) of Jonesboro, Georgia, Dr. LaRita Primrose of Lithonia, Georgia, Sherree Still of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, and a host of nieces and friends.
