Sa'Mel Gallaway transitioned from this life on Wednesday, March 6, in Clairton, PA. He was the son of Autumn Bush and Kaleb Howard.

He grew up in Clairton and did many things when he was younger. He enjoyed playing sports and interacting with people. Sa'Mel graduated from Summit Academy in 2019 with high honors and received a certificate in welding. Sa'Mel was the proud father of Sa'Mel Gallaway, Jr. and Malaiyah Gallaway. He enjoyed spending time with his children and created some special memories with them.

Sa'Mel was preceded in death by his stepfather Richard Ford IV, grandmothers Gaila Johnson, and Theresa Scott, and grandfathers Derrick Gallaway, and James Bush.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, his stepmother Shala Darwin Howard, his children, his brother Tyreike Hammonds, Kaleb Gallaway, Lamaar Walker, Sariya Darwin, Lyric Dreher, Karrington Darwin, and his uncle Deonte Reddick whom was raised with him more like a brother. Also, he leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services will be on March 15, 2024, at Gethsemane Church of God in Christ 200 Crest Street Clairton, PA. The viewing will be from 10 am to noon, with service directly following at noon.

The interment will be at Round Hill Cemetery.
