On June 19, 2020, Roxanna Marshall, loving daughter, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away at the age of 73.
Roxanna, aka Foxy Roxy, was born on October 12, 1946 to the late John Brown and Frankalea Jones Brown. She graduated from McKeesport High School. She worked in retail for many years (Kroger, Sears) and later obtained a certificate in Home Health Care from OIC. Subsequently, she worked as a Home Health Aid in Monroeville, caring for the elderly. She married Gradie Andrew McClellan, Jr. and produced 6 children from that marriage.
Roxanna was a Daughter of the McKeesport Elks. Roxanna was a proud member of the Eastern Stars (Homestead chapter) where she rose to the position of Queen Mother. In healthier times, she was a proud active member of the NAACP (McKeesport chapter) and maintained the following affiliations:

Roxanna was an avid reader and she enjoyed good music and going to concerts. She had a sense for fashion, loved to shop, and she was an awesome cook. She loved her children and grandchildren with unconditional strength and firmness. And underneath that firmness was a special kind of love that each one of her children knew they needed from her.
Roxanna was preceded in death by her husband Eugene R. Marshall, son, Derek Anthony McClellan (Bone) and grandson Tareef McClellan. She is survived by her children, Gradie McClellan III (Nick) of McKeesport, PA, Roxanna Williams (Meredith) of Virginia, Sean Corey McClellan, Frank (Denise) McClellan of McKeesport, PA, John McClellan of Maryland, Carla McClellan (Derek) of Clairton, PA. Roxanna has 35 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She also has a host of extended family, cousins and loved ones, some of whom affectionately called her “Miss Rox” or “Mama Rox”, Vernessa Thymus, Eugenia Mosby (Babette), Rosetta Henderson, Maria Thurman, Valda Marshall (Lady), Lorie Marshall (Pie) and Kim Murphy.
