Rochelle Denise (Smith) Williams

Rochelle (Shelly) Denise Williams, 53, was born May 2, 1968, in Pittsburgh, PA.  She was the beloved daughter of Yvonne (Buckner) Smith and the late John Richardson. Rochelle departed this life on September 23, 2021, in Pittsburgh, PA. She was preceded in death by her father, John  Richardson.   

Shelly was a 1986 graduate of Taylor Allderdice High School and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She was employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the Public Welfare Department. 

Shelly had a vibrant personality and an infectious smile that lit up every room she walked in and touched every person she encountered. She was a fashionista who enjoyed shopping and being in the company of others. Shelly loved to laugh and have a great time. She was a devoted wife and mother whose children brought her great joy. 

She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she served on the J. Harold Hayes Scholarship Committee and the Esther Project. 

Rochelle is survived by her loving spouse, Phillip, of 26 years; daughter, Nayelle Williams; son, Nason Williams; mother, Yvonne Smith; sister, Crystal (Larry) Smith of Rock Hill, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
