Geraldine Robinson was born September 25, 1941, in Duquesne, PA. to the late Nathan and Alma (Hill) Nichols. Geraldine departed this life on January 3, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Derek Anthony Nichols in 2018.
Geraldine graduated from Duquesne High School. She was baptized and was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church, Duquesne Pennsylvania, she was also the First Lady to her Husband Rev. Edward Robinson and preacher, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Aliquippa, PA. She was the President of the AUBA which is the Allegheny Union Baptist Association. Geraldine retired from the University of Pittsburgh as a secretary in the Pharmaceutical Science Department of 20 years. Geraldine was a born-again Christian. She loved the Lord. She loved her father, which is Jesus Christ. She always talked about the goodness of the Lord and was committed to her kingdom lifestyle. She always said to my dad and I, “The Best Is Yet To Come!” And it has come! We love you Ma.
Geraldine leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 48 years, Rev. Edward J. Robinson, son; Minister Demetrius Robinson, sister; Mary Hill, nine grandchildren; Demetrius Robinson Jr., Demontae Robinson, Natalya Johnson, Trinity Robinson, Zaire McClain Robinson, Shadera Cain, Jordan Floyd, Ashanti Boutwell, and Deon Germany Jr., three great-grandchildren; Joshua Floyd, Mosiam Floyd, Jha`mirra Elysa Cobb, and god daughter; Lanice Niecy` Gadsden Swanson sister; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Though she is now worshipping before the throne those of us that remain choose to remember Geraldine for the life she was blessed to live, and how she chose to live in it, and which is at the feet of the father.
