Parthinia M. Holly, 92, of Fairfax Station, was born May 6, 1932, in Clairton, PA. She was the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Cora Hughes Jarrett.

Parthinia graduated from Clairton High School in 1950, after graduation she attended the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy in Pittsburgh, PA. Parthinia met David Goggins at a young age and they were married in 1955, from this union their son David “Sharkey” Goggins, Jr., was born. After a short marriage, she later met James Holly and they united into marriage until his passing in 2002.

Parthinia joined the Clairton congregation of Jehovah’s Witness and was baptized in 1965 at the Kingdom Hall in West Elizabeth, PA.

She was a lifelong beautician and worked as a certified nurse assistant at UPMC McKeesport Hospital.

Parthinia departed this life peacefully surrounded by her beloved family on June 22, 2024, in Fairfax Virginia. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Jarrett, Sr., mother, Cora (Hughes) Jarrett, granddaughter, Kisha Arnold, brothers, Edward Jarrett, Jr., and Allen Jarrett, sisters, Dron Gadson, and Claytis Ray.  

Parthinia is survived by her beloved; son, David Goggins of Fairfax Station, VA; 2 grandchildren, Erin Goggins of Baltimore, MD; Ebony Johnson of Lorton, VA; 4 great-grandchildren, sister, Deborah Byrd; special niece, Niki Jarrett Scurry; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
