Michele Lorraine Veney-Akins was born January 5, 1966, in Homestead, Pennsylvania to the late Michael MacBeth Veney and Gail Lorraine (Charlton) Veney.

Education was of the utmost importance to Michele. She completed her Associate's Degree at the Community College of Allegheny County and became a Registered Nurse. In 2004, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at La Roche College. Michele was a Registered Nurse for twenty-seven years. Michele’s hobbies include reading, writing, and spending time with loved ones.

Michele departed this life on April 3, 2022, at McKeesport, PA. She was preceded in death by Her father, Michael MacBeth Veney, mother, Gail Lorraine (Charlton) Veney.

Michele leaves to cherish her loving memory of her husband, Elbert; daughters Jordan, Alexis, Sherry, Natasha, Vetter, and Dionna; sisters Jeannean and Rhoda; her nephew Mark, and a host of other extended nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
