Mecca Lavette Vaccaro, 47, of Monongahela, was born January 17, 1975, in Pittsburgh, PA. She was the beloved daughter to the late Frank Swindle and Rose E. Reddick.
She attended Clairton High School, where she enjoyed her Art class and was a cheerleader. After becoming a mom, she withdrew from high school, later obtained a GED, and completed coursework toward her cosmetology license. Mecca held several short-term positions as an employee at a daycare center, at a grocery store, as a waitress at a restaurant, and most recently on an assembly line making cookware.
Mecca loved the Lord. She was baptized as a teen at Morning Star Baptist Church and she served as a member of the choir. Mecca liked to keep busy, and her hobbies included making decorative wreaths for holidays, seasonal décor, and various themes, she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, word search puzzles, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Mecca departed this life on March 23, 2022, at Mon Valley Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Swindle, mother, Rose Reddick, son, Montize Chapman.
Mecca is survived by her spouse Dennis; sons, Montana Howard, Tristan Vaccaro, (Cortez and Sabian); daughters, Ali Vaccaro, Angel Alston, (Nova); two brothers, Andre Ellison, Brian Walker; aunts, Patricia Reddick (Baldwin), Arris Murphy (Tony); nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
