Maynard Jerome Ogletree, 72, of Uniontown, was born July 14, 1949, in McKeesport, PA. He was the beloved son of the late William and Cherry Ogletree.
Maynard was a graduate of Clairton High School. He studied writing at California University of PA. and at Community College of Allegheny County. Maynard retired from USS Irvin Works after 35 + years of employment. Maynard lived in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
Maynard was constantly learning new things to enhance his life and others. He loved politics and was a master in the game of chess. He loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. He truly loved nature and has seen most of the world. He also loved working with special needs children and the elderly. At Fayette Resources he really took time and enjoyed it, taking care of people, and making a difference.
Maynard was a member of Signal of Light in Uniontown PA. He was preparing himself to become a Deacon of the church. He was always very outspoken and loved to speak at any event. He always had a “BIG BRIGHT SMILE”. Never showed anger, he was just a beautiful person. I love you, daddy, you will be truly missed by all, especially by Dereck, and me. We will always be in your heart, as you will always be in ours. Rest easy in heaven. Love you, Daddy, Farewell for now until we meet again.
Maynard departed this life on December 10, 2021, at Uniontown Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Cherry Ogletree; brothers; Richard Cousar; Mark Cousar.
Maynard is survived by his; one daughter, Carla J. Turner of Bristol, PA; and one son, Dereck Jerome Turner of Bristol PA; four sisters, Sherry Rucker, Shelia Ogletree, Arletha Ogletree, Jacqualyn Harris; two brothers, William Ogletree, all of Clairton PA; Tyrone Cousar, of West Mifflin PA.; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
