Maxine Woods, 82, of Clairton, was born April 15, 1943, in McKeesport, PA. She was the beloved daughter of the late Green and Amanda (Fields) Williams. She was the first grandchild of Edward and Ida Fields.
Maxine was a graduate of Clairton High School. She was employed as a social worker in NYC until she retired. Maxine enjoyed collecting stamps and lighthouses. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #75 in Clairton, PA, since 1984.
Maxine departed this life on May 5, 2025, at her home in Clairton, PA. She was preceded in death by her father, Green Williams; mother, Amanda (Fields) Williams; husband, Donald Woods; son, Cary Williams; and grandson, Jamie Williams Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories: son, Jamie (Brenda) Williams Sr. of Pottstown, PA; granddaughter/caregiver Komeya Williams; granddaughter Odette Markesis; grandsons, Cheron Wilson and Jared Wilson; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; extended family and friends.
