Martin D. Mitchell Sr., of Braddock, was born August 25, 1960, in McKeesport, PA. He was the beloved son of Lawrence and Mae (Brown) Mitchell.

He attended school at the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in Edgewood, PA. Martin worked as a janitor at milestone centers for people with developmental & behavioral health challenges for 25 years.

Martin departed this life on February 8, 2022. He was preceded in death by His father, Lawrence Mitchell Sr., mother, Mae (Brown) Mitchell, brother, Lawrence Mitchell, Jr.

Martin is survived by his loving daughter, Anita (Grady III) McCray, of Monroeville, PA; son Martin Daryl Mitchell II, of Braddock PA, two sisters, Deadra Soloman, Rhonda (Darryl) Mitchell-Smith; brother, Ronald (Shandrea) Mitchell; two granddaughters, Aniyah Lewis-Mitchell, and Skye Wright; grandson, Gavyn McCray; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
