Marie L. (Price) Dawson

Marie Luvenia Dawson, 92 of Clairton, was born May 5, 1929, in McKeesport, PA.  She was the beloved daughter of the late Herbert and Lucille (Taylor) Price. Marie departed this life on October 24, 2021, at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Martin Dawson, Jr., son, Alan H. Dawson, brothers Richard, Herbert, and Leonard Price; sisters, Virginia Miles and Cheryl Wilson; grandson Alan M. Dawson.

Marie was a 1947 graduate of Clairton High School. She worked as a Case Manager for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Assistance until she retired. Some of the things she enjoyed included, Bible reading, talking to others about her faith, spending time with family and friends, doing word searches and crossword puzzles.

She was a baptized member of the Clairton Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for 67 years, serving as a Regular Pioneer for 29 years.

Left to cherish her life: daughter Linda Chavis-Moore of Clairton, PA; son, Martin (Yvonne) Dawson, III of Elizabeth, PA; 9 grandchildren Holly Stokes, Natalie Dawson, Kenon Stokes, Terrence (Sarah) Dawson, Lydia Dawson, Lauren Chavis, Gabrielle Dawson, Heather (Joseph) Styles, Allan Gilmore; 20 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Dierdre and Beverly Price, sister in law Billie Price; nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
