Margaret Helen Jackson was born in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, on April 7, 1929, to the late Mason and Mary Ann Brooks. She fell asleep on December 3, 2023.
Margaret was one of seven children: one sister and 5 brothers whom all preceded her in death: Sophie Zora Shutes; Ted Moore, Willibe Moore, James Brooks, Edward Smith, and Mason Smith. Margaret married Lawrence Jackson of Brownsville, Pennsylvania in 1944. Lawrence long preceded her in death. She was a stay-at-home mom. She lived in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area most of her life until she moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1984. There she dedicated her life to serving Jehovah and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1990 and remained faithful to Jehovah until the end.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Jackson, two daughters Margaret Ann Jackson and Christine L. Jackson and one son, William E. Jackson.
She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memories her children: Cora L. (Steve) Coleman, Rosemary Collins, Carrie M. (Clyde) Davis, Anthony W. Jackson, Nathaniel Jackson, and Melvin L. Jackson.
Mom, along with her mother encouraged us children and grandchildren to study the Bible to learn about Jehovah. And because of them many of us dedicated our lives to Jehovah. She was the matriarch of our family.
Her children span five generations from grandchildren to great, great, great, great grands. They, her nieces and nephews and others lovingly referred to her as ‘Grannie’. She lovingly cared for and prayed for us all. Her grands total 115 who will miss her dearly.
