Linda Sue (Coberly) Battle

Linda Sue Battle, 68, was born May 8, 1952, in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Linda departed this life on August 1, 2020, in her home. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 42 years  Gerald Battle Sr. , her parents Agnes and Walter Coberly, siblings: Mary Coberly, Laura Mae Chavis, Walter Scott Coberly, Betty Styche, and Donna Jenkins.

Linda moved to McKeesport, PA when she was 5 yrs old. She attended McKeesport Area High School. Linda enjoyed her grandchildren by attending all school functions, academic celebrations, and sports events to celebrate their accomplishments. She was known to enjoy and support many children in her community. Linda was constant with providing donations to several charitable organizations. 

Linda enjoyed reading a variety of books and the Bible. She enjoyed trips to Erie, PA, and Myrtle Beach, SC to watch the ocean waves and experience beautiful sunsets. Linda liked to bargain shop by attending yard sales and flea markets. She also had a hobby of making potholders. Linda was a social butterfly by participating in program activities and celebrating all birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays with the tenants in her apartment building. 

She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Gerald T. Battle II ( Mary Jo) of Erie; Daughter, Hayley Battle of McKeesport; Grandchildren: Dai’Vonna Battle of Erie, Jayvawn Battle of West Mifflin, Jahsawn Battle of McKeesport, and Trey Battle of Erie; Brother- Jack ( Kathy) Coberly of  Irwin;  Sisters: Ella (Mark) Ruddy of Greensburg, and  Florida Gonzalez of Munhall; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. 

*A WALK THROUGH VIEWING FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL TAKE PLACE AT ROBERT A. WATERS FUNERAL HOME, INC. AUGUST 7, 2020, AT 10:00 AM, FOLLOWED BY A MEMORIAL SERVICE AT 12:00 PM.  ALL VISITORS ARE ASKED TO WEAR MASKS AND BE MINDFUL OF SOCIAL DISTANCING DURING EACH SERVICE**
