Lauren Jean Brown

Lauren Jean Brown 36, of Clairton, was born on February 7, 1984. She was the beloved daughter to Norma Jean Smith and the late Albert Brown. Lauren departed this life on September 28, 2020 at UPMC McKeesport Hospital.

Lauren graduated from Clairton High School in 2002. She  was the hairstylist to all of her friends. Her most recent employer was the Cott Manufacturing Company in Glassport, Pennsylvania. Lauren loved to cook, her favorite dish was chicken and macaroni and cheese. Many will remember her pleasant voice, she could sing very well. Friends described her as having a “beautiful spirit” and being a “peaceful person.”  She enjoyed life by going out and spending time with family and friends.

Lauren was a lifelong member of First A.M.E of Clairton. She was christened at a young age. Always an active member, she was part of the Junior Choir and Mime Group.

Lauren’s memory will be cherished by her mother, Norma Jean Smith of Clairton; brother Landon (Jennifer) Smith of Boyton Beach, FL; godmother, Shirley Jones Randall; godchildren, Kenyahna, Kyzyah, Kennessy Jamison, Kairo Lyons, Terrayia Shanell Henley; uncle Nathan Brown; nephews, aunts, host of cousins, and friends.
