Kurtis Jarome Shaw was born March 30, 1987, in McKeesport, to Cynthia Shaw and Richard Faris at McKeesport Hospital in McKeesport, PA.

Kurtis (Kurt Go Bang) Shaw was loved by all and always able to put a smile on others' faces. Kust was raised in the Burns Heights section of Duquesne, PA., and during his early teens, his family relocated to McKeesport, PA.

He quickly became embraced by his peers; he had a passion for music and loved getting his family together for gatherings. Kurt possessed a heart of gold and would give you his last and the shirt off his back. He was the second oldest of five children and had some very solid business plans that would have made everyone proud of him. Kurt was a hard-working man and a true provider.

At age 37, Kurtis departed this life on March 29, 2025, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital in McKeesport, PA. He resided in McKeesport, PA. Kurt was preceded in death by his grandmother, Virginia Shaw, great-aunt Sarah Demery Beatty, and brother Darwin Palmer.  

He leaves to mourn his passing, are his beloved, parents; Cynthia Shaw, Richard Farris, siblings, Cadell Shaw,, Rahman Shaw, Tyler Shaw, Aubrie Shaw, Darnisha Farris, Richard Farris IV, Rylen Farris Richard Palmer, Darwin Palmer, his children, La`Nysiah McCullough, step son, Dai`zjaun Demery, Fiance`, Shantel Green, nieces, Cadaija Shaw, Caderah Shaw, Nina Smith, Zola Shaw, Allie Wilkerson, and Rhylee Shaw, nephews, Aiden Wilkerson, and Cadell Shaw Jr.
