Joseph Vurlie Walker, 77, of McKeesport, was born January 10, 1947, in McKeesport, PA. He was the beloved son of Ruby Fennell Smith and the late Lewis Walker.
Joseph was a veteran of the United States Army from April 1965 to April 1967. He was self-employed with his own business J. Walker roofing, painting, and his vending machine business.
Joseph loved his family, and he loved to paint and play chess in his free time also volunteered to help with the seniors serving them food at his Glenn Hazel residence. Joseph was able to take care of himself until the last month of his life.
Joseph departed this life on June 29, 2024, at his home in Pittsburgh, PA. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Walker, Sr., and brother Lewis Walker.
Joseph is survived by his loving mother, Ruby Fennell Smith; sons, Joseph Mack, Fordery Walker and daughter, Tiffany Walker; many grandchildren; siblings, Louise Walker, Sherry Smith, Belinda King, Marvin Smith; nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, extended family, and friends.
