Johnnie Chappell

Johnnie Chappell, 70, of Clairton, was born February 1, 1951 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. He was the beloved son of the late Willie and Melzy (Rooks) Chappell.

Johnnie graduated from Clairton High School. Many described Johnnie as being a good man, loving and always looking out for others. He worked at Cotts Manufacturing in Glassport. Johnnie loved the Lord, he believed in his savior, Jesus Christ. He frequently attended services at Morning Star Baptist Church.

Johnnie departed this life on November 8, 2021 at AHN Jefferson. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Beulah Chappell Garrett, Mildred Ferguson, James Chappell, Willie Chappell, and Carmie Williams.

Johnnie is survived by his two sisters, Maggie Tucker of Pittsburgh, Melzy Chappell of Glassport; special niece Penny, LaDonna, special nephews, Lemuel and James; loving companion Beverly Schley; extended family and friends.
