Janice Lynn Holmes

Janice Lynn Holmes, 65, of McKeesport, passed peacefully on January 7, 2021, at UPMC McKeesport. Beloved daughter of the late Clarence Wendell and Bessie Marie Grinage Holmes, born January 14, 1955. Janice obtained a Masters in Nursing, Ph.D. in Education, and Ph.D., ABD in Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh. She received the Master’s in Divinity and a Community Service Award from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Janice pastored Olivet Presbyterian, West Elizabeth, PA. She was on faculty at IUP and the Univ. of Pittsburgh totaling 37 years. She sang with the MonYough Chorale.  Janice is survived by her sister Linda J. Holmes, aunts, cousins, colleagues, and friends. Family and friends will be received Wednesday, January 13th, 10 am -noon at Robert A. Waters Funeral Home, 2326 Jenny Lind Street, McKeesport, PA. Graveside service to follow at Monongahela Cemetery.
