Irene Patricia "Trisha" (Dykes) Townsend

Irene Patricia "Trisha" Dykes Townsend, 78 of New Castle, Pennsylvania, departed this life on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at home.

She was born December 22, 1940, in Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Benjamin and Beatrice Rushin Dykes.

She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Clairton, but also attended Victory Christian Center-New Castle Campus.  She worked as an Operating Room Tech for over thirty-five years.

Surviving are her children, Leon (Kimberly) Dykes of New Castle and daughter, Marie Johnson of Springdale, Maryland; five grandchildren, Claudia (William) Harrison, Patricia Dykes, Erika (Rashida) Brathwaite, Deonna Dykes, Kaylyn Dykes; two great-grandchildren, Cierra, Makiya; sister, Bertha G. Murray of Clairton, nieces, nephews, many other loving relatives, and friends.

Friends will be received on Friday, April 12, 2019, from 11 a.m. –12 p.m. in Morning Star Baptist Church, 307 Shaw Avenue, Clairton, Pennsylvania, where services will begin at 12:00 p.m.

Interment will be private
