Gladys Rosalie (Young) Spence, 98, formerly of West Mifflin PA, died Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Kane Community Center, Glen Hazel, PA.

She was born on February 12, 1924, in Suffolk, VA, and was the daughter of the late Claudia Gilliam Young and the late John Robert Young. She was preceded in death by two sons, Stephen Howard and Willie Roosevelt Jr; two daughters, Rosalyn F. Johnson and Kathy L. Jeffries, son-in-law, Pastor Carl S. Crawford of Green Temple C.O.G.I.C of Pittsburgh, PA., and god son, Marc Anthony Green.

Surviving are her daughters, Nancy L. Crawford of West Mifflin, PA, Claudia Greenhouse (Bruce) of Wilkinsburg, PA, and Anne "Lisa" (Tyrone) Wiliams of McKeesport, PA., godchildren Robert Queen of MD., Patricia Queen of Ahoskie, N.C. and Maria Green of West Mifflin, PA., seventeen grandchildren, fifty-five great-grandchildren, and twenty-nine great-great-grandchildren. Sisters, Helena Williams and Angelina Dorsey of Baltimore, MD., and one sister-in-law, Reba King Booker of Jamaica Queens, NY, brother, Calvin Young of Alexandria, VA, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Gladys was a member of the Trinity Church of God in Christ where she served faithfully. She enjoyed listening to Christian ministers, walking, reading the Bible, and spending time with her loved ones. Her most precious time was when she was in the house of God. She previously attended Christ Soul Saving Station under the leadership of Pastor Evelyn and Irving Bethel; where she served in many capacities and was a missionary. She took great pride in supporting missionaries afar and in Israel.
