Gladys June Allen, 74, of McKeesport, was born July 28, 1950, in McKeesport, PA. She was the beloved daughter of the late Bernum and Jean (Lloyd) Allen. Gladys was the 3rd youngest child of 13 children.

Gladys attended school at McKeesport for 12 years and Community College of Allegheny County for 2 years where she received an Associate Degree in Social Work. Gladys was employed as a CNA for over 30 years, retiring from the Charles Morris Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Gladys was a strong, brave, warm, generous, and loving woman who would help anyone that she could that had a need. She received numerous awards for her dedication of selfless service while employed as a CNA. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed reading in her spare time.

She was baptized at Covenant Church in Pittsburgh and later became a member of the Hope 4 U Ministries Church in McKeesport.

Gladys departed this life on November 16, 2024, at her home in McKeesport PA., with her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, mother, Jean Lloyd Allen, father, Bernum Allen, sisters, Kay Campbell, Joan Brown, Vicki Allen, and Patricia Bailey; brothers Chester Allen and Larry Allen.

Gladys is survived by her loving children, son, Romonta(Teresha) Allen, of Mckeesport; daughter, Gina (Nikia) McLeod of Raeford, NC; two grandsons, Savon McLeod, of Germany, Amari McLeod of Raeford, NC; granddaughter, Shamara McLeod of Raeford, NC; five sisters, Peggy (Paulie) Law, Dorothy Blackwell, and Sandra Scott, all of McKeesport, PA., Helen Peaches Swindle of, Atlanta, Ga., Eleanor Allen, of New York, NY., brother, James Snooky (Wilma)Allen of McKeesport, PA., nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
