Gilbert Smith,  81, of Liberty Boro, Pennsylvania, departed this life on Wednesday, February 26th, 2025. He was born on April 24th, 1943, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania.

He was the beloved son of the late Albert and Mammie Hamilton Smith.

Gilbert was educated and graduated from the Clairton Public School System.

He enlisted in the United States Army, served in Vietnam, and received an honorable discharge.

Gilbert was employed at the Veterans Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as a Transporter, driving veterans to appointments.

Gilbert enjoyed playing pool at Jim’s Pub with his pool buddies.

Leaving to cherish his memory are his wife, Laurel Biddle Smith, three sons, Gilbert Darnell Smith,  Terry Gilbert Smith, and Marcel Gilberto Smith,

24 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, brother Gary Smith, and extended family and friends.
