Florence Johnson, 71, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 18, 2021.
Florence Johnson was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Nellie and Howard Johnson on April 11, 1950. She attended school in Clairton, Pennsylvania. Florence had one beautiful daughter, Carmen Johnson, and their close bond was unbreakable. She was selflessly devotion to all of her family, and she squeezed so much joy from each one of them and gave it right back in equal portion. Ultimately, Florence left Clairton and moved to Richmond, Virginia where she lived until her passing. She was so blessed to spend her final days encircled in the love of her close cousin, Linda Pettiford.
Florence joins the ranks of her ancestors, including Nellie Johnson (mother), Howard Johnson (father), Howard Johnson, Jr. (brother), William Johnson (brother), Floyd Johnson (brother) and Raymond Johnson (brother). She is mourned by her sister, Dr. Evaleen Johnson of Braddock, PA, nieces, nephews, many cousins and a host of friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 12:00pm on November 12, 2021 at Round Hill Cemetery with Minister Debra Marshall of Morning Star Baptist officiating. Repast will follow at the CEDCC at 282 St. Clair Avenue, Clairton, PA 15025. Arrangements are entrusted to Robert A. Waters Funeral Home.
