Emma J Heflin Smalley, 72, born July 4, 1948, in Braddock, Pennsylvania. The beloved daughter of the late David Bud Coleman and Minnie Tyree, departed this life on December 31, 2020, at UPMC McKeesport. She was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Tyree, and sister, Dawn Turner.
Emma attended and graduated from the McKeesport Area School district. Emma was an employee of UPMC for over 23 years as a Medical Secretary until she retired.
Emma was family-oriented, who loved family gatherings. She was a sweet and pleasant woman, who was loved by many. She enjoyed playing bingo, dice, and card games. Such a loving and caring person, her love for the Lord, led her to Upon This Rock Ministries and Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she was called the bird singer.
Emma is survived by her loving spouse of 9 years, Jonquin Smalley, two sons, Victor Tyree, Vincent Brown; step-son, Deon Smalley; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Caleb Swann, Juan Hicks; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
