Ella "Louise" Alred Wilson, 87, of McKeesport departed this life peacefully at home on Thursday, January 16, 2020.
She was born September 19, 1932, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Milo and Ida Mae Alred. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of over 60 years, Wilbert A. Wilson, Sr. and three daughters, Toni R. Wilson, Rhonda J. Wilson Leggett, and Kimberlee L. Wilson.
Louise graduated from Westinghouse High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She worked as a Mortician Assistant/Receptionist for Charles W. Newman Funeral Home for over 30 years. She also worked at the National Steelworker's Oldtimers Foundation (NSOF) as a Caregiver, and Arts & Crafts Director. Louise was a long-time member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church, where she served in a number of auxiliaries, such as Silver Leaf Club, Eastern Stars & many others. She later transferred her church membership to Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she enjoyed worshipping.
Louise loved to help people, she always had a beautiful smile and a kind word for everyone she met. She was loved by many and will truly be missed. Surviving are her children, Rev. Wilbert "Woody" A. (Rev. Karin) Wilson, Jr. of White Oak; Kevin R. Wilson of Pittsburgh; Lisa M. (Eugene) Kelley of McKeesport; grandchildren she raised, Aerika (Karl) Callaway of Monroeville; Caleb Leggett; and Clifton (Sherell) Leggett of McKeesport; 13 additional grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many, many friends.
