Edna L. (Cunningham) Jackson

Edna L. Cunningham Jackson, 70, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at home.

She was born July 13, 1948 in Clairton, PA, daughter of the late Rev. John L. and Mary Eliza Woody Cunningham.  She was a wife of 48 years to Bruce W. Jackson of Wilkinsburg.

Edna was an active member of Union Baptist Church of Swissvale.  She received her diploma in Nursing from UPMC Montefiore, earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Point Park University, and continued her career as a Case Manager with Hover Nursing Agency.

Survivors include her husband, Bruce W. Jackson and son, Ray Jackson both of Wilkinsburg; step-children, Kelli Sinkler of Edgewood, MD and Kevin Sinkler of Baltimore, MD; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; siblings, Beatrice Lawrence, Lois E. (Dwight) Dudley all of Elizabeth, John L. (Saundra) Cunningham, Jr. of McKeesport, Jerry (Joanne) Cunningham of McKeesport, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 10:00-11:30 am in the Union Baptist Church of Swissvale, 2117 Collingwood Ave, Swissvale, PA 15218, where services will begin at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Cynthia Swepson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth, Pennsylvania.
