Dorsie (Morgan) Patrick Obituary

Dorsie Gazetta Patrick, 88 of McKeesport, PA, was born on January 17, 1937, in Gladys, Virginia. She was the beloved daughter of the late Mattie Payne. Dorsie departed this life peacefully at home on January 5, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Dorsie was a sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to many. Dorsie met her husband in Virginia, and they moved to New York, traveling back and forth in her white Lincoln with a tan interior. She would show up in McKeesport. Family and friends would come together and celebrate her arrival, because they knew it was party time! She was the life of the party. She enjoyed her life, loved to dance, listen to jazz music, and shop. She loved spending time with her family and friends in McKeesport so much that she made it her home! Dorsie was also a diehard wrestling fan. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church, where she found joy in attending services with her younger sister.

Dorsie was preceded in death by her mother, the late Mattie Payne; her beloved daughter Pat Patrick; and her sisters Alma and Ivy Mae Herndon.

Leaving to cherish her memory, her daughter Melinda (Kay) Patrick, son, Clarence E. Patrick, both of McKeesport, PA; Four loving grandchildren, Chskeela Patrick, Ebony Patrick, Christina Francis, all of McKeesport, PA and Samuel (Krista) Francis of Texas; Two great grandchildren, Amahni Cargile, and Karter Francis; Sisters, Barbara Payne of South Carolina, Barbara Allen, and brother, Thomas Hamlit both of Virginia, and an host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends!
