Dora MaeLinda (Christian) Sampson

Dora MaeLinda Sampson, 75, of McKeesport was born on August 23, 1946, in McKeesport, PA. She was the beloved daughter to James and Gladys (Shern) Christian.

She attended school at McKeesport High and after graduating, she enlisted in the United States Army, was stationed in South Korea as a Medical Specialist, and after an

honorable discharge, Rank: SP /5. Then she furthered her education at Morristown College and West Virginia State University class of 1968. A Member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority

Dora worked as a Nurse’s Aide for McKeesport Hospital. Dora lived in McKeesport, PA. Dora was very active in sports such as softball and track for various leagues, she was an avid roller skater and enjoyed playing chess. She was also an advocate in supporting the McKeesport Past and Present Annual Reunion. Dora often visited First United Methodist Church in McKeesport, PA.

Dora departed this life on May 12, 2022, at McKeesport, PA. She was preceded in death by her father, James P. Christian, mother, Gladys (Shern) Christian, and brother Philip J. Christian.

Dora is survived by her loving son and daughter in law, Bakari (Mary) Sampson of Clarksburg, MD; granddaughter, Arya Brielle Sampson; brother, Rashidi (Debbie) Christian of Washington, DC; two sisters, Katherine C. Adams of Glen Burnie, MD, Sandra Christian of McKeesport, PA; nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
