Donna Mae (Price) Watson Obituary

Donna Mae Price Watson was born on October 5, 1944, in Bellaire, Ohio. She is the fifth child along with her twin brother of eight children, born to the late Mr. Carrington and Sis. Evalyna B. Hood Price.

Donna attended Bellaire High School where she excelled in her studies. She enjoyed playing basketball and being connected to others. She was baptized in the name of Jesus, in her High School years at Shiloh Temple, Bridgeport, Ohio, she was a very active member in the ministry. She graduated from Bellaire High School in 1962. After graduation, she worked at Bellaire Hospital in housekeeping.

Donna met and married John Washington in 1968, he brought her to Pittsburgh, Pa. where they divorced a year later. She started working at Pittsburgh Hospital in housekeeping and soon became a member of the Greater Bethlehem Temple Church at 404 Paulson Ave. On fire for the work of the Lord, Donna became best friends with Sis. Kay McNeal, when you saw one, you seen the other, they had the friendship of a lifetime, over 50 yrs. It was not long after that God would bless her with another best friend. One who would be more than her friend, someone who would love, cherish, and take care of her for the rest of their life, her soulmate, and he did just that! Deacon Sylvester Waston, who was also a new member of Greater Bethlehem Temple, they married on August 31, 1972. Together they raised four wonderful children, Kertrica Ann Watson, Frederick Ramon Watson, Jason Sylvester Watson, and Eric Lee Watson.

Donna sang in the Greater Bethlehem Temple Church Gospel Choir, worked in the dining room, involved in Missionary groups, was a babysitter, and cleaned houses. She worked for Giant Eagles for 10yrs. of service and then retired. She didn’t go sit down, she was always a hard-working Woman, for her family, church family, and friends. If you cross paths with Donna you became friends immediately, she would be there for you in whatever way she could help you. She was always kind and had a sweet spirit, she absolutely loved God and the people of God everywhere.

Three years ago, she had a stroke and God brought her out and she continued to Praise the name of the Lord. She then later caught pneumonia and was hospitalized and then found out through tests that she had stage four cancer. With unwavering Faith, she continued to trust God. She was brought back to the hospital because fluids filled up in her body, causing her to swell up and affected her breathing. After taking care of the new concerns that arose, the cancer had spread through her body affecting her other organs. Early Friday morning on June 20th, 2025, at 12:22 a.m. Donna departed this life for life eternal.
