Dionne Woods, also known as “Aunt Dee Dee” first blessed this earth May 17, 1968. Born to the late Edward Mallory and Jane Woods.
Dionne was a loved soul who loved children, especially her seven; George Goins, Jayna Troy Thomas, Christian Woods, Norman Carter, JaQuan West, Nyonna West, and Nyair West. Her grandchildren; Avayla Thomas-Boyd, G’Amonnie Ann Marie Goins (named after mom), G’Avonna Goins, G’Onna Goins, Mason Carter, and Amiry’on Burchette. In addition to countless other nieces, nephews, adopted family and the entire Pittsburgh community.
She also leaves behind siblings Pete Mallory, Norman Woods, Trina Woods, Meshelle Woods, Darcel Gray, and Tammi Mallory.
Dionne was a kind soul who gave everything she had to everyone she loved which often left her empty. Despite circumstances, she always maintained a kind heart in a cruel world. That was her superpower. She had this unique ability to focus on the positive aspects of life and the good in everyone. She was a nurse, a biker, a crossing guard but more importantly, she was an angel here on earth.
Our angel peacefully transitioned on January 31, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. She leaves behind a village of support for her children, cherished memories with her family, and a LEGACY we intend to honor.
