Diane L Maultsby, 70, born March 30, 1950, in McKeesport, PA. The beloved daughter of the late Leroy and Louvata Maultsby departed this life on January 1, 2021, at home. She was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Maultsby.
Diane attended Duquesne High School graduating in 1968. She worked at the Jewish Home Hospital in Squirrel Hill for over forty years where she obtained her CNA and worked as a restorative nursing assistant until she retired in 2015.
Diane enjoyed hanging out with her Best Friends Donna Staples and Valerie Randolph. You would oftentimes see Diane and Donna pretend to workout at the YMCA before it closed down. They also spent many days just hanging out and shopping; they were always together. Valerie was Diane’s prayer warrior. Val was always there to offer up a prayer.
Diane was a member of the culinary ministry at Payne Chapel AME where she enjoyed cooking and just being around family and friends. They often joked that Diane had no filter, she said what was on her mind. When she was cooking dinners at the church and got tired she politely let them know “I’m tired, and I’m done.”
Diane’s greatest joy was being with her sisters, children and walking her dog Tasha on the Waterfront in Homestead. Diane had an eye for fashion. She loved to get dressed and coordinate her jewelry, coats and shoes. Diane was well respected and loved, everyone who crossed her path always agreed how she was so beautiful inside and out. She will truly be missed by everyone who crossed her path but especially by her children and grandchildren.
Diane is survived by her two daughters, Dr. Tammi (Gregory) Marshall of Pittsburgh, PA, Kesha Epps of Homestead; son, Chad Epps of Duquesne; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; two sisters, Barbara Jefferson of Pittsburgh, Betty Coleman of Homestead; beloved dog, Tasha; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
